“Please give me free stuff, so that I can sell it and get myself ahead while you (the artists), should just be grateful for any opportunity to showcase your stuff”. Sound familiar?

Diving in…

If you’ve ever told ANYONE that you create, then you’ve likely been hit up for freebies. In an attempt to make things a little more interesting, I’m hosting my first jellybean contest (with a twist)!

You may remember these from school days, but just in case you don’t:

Someone fills a jar or other large, typically transparent container with a known quantity of jellybeans and gives a prize to whoever guesses closest to the actual number.

I couldn’t justify the jellybean purchase. I don’t eat them and I can’t very well give them away with covid concerns. Instead, we’re going to use something readily available in my quarantined environment = building blocks! This might be the first #NFTBlockCount contest.

Alon Goren or poopoo.eth might be proud!

Here’s how it works:

1.Guess. How many building blocks are in the bin? :)

2. Select a piece of YOUR OWN ORIGINAL ART

3. Mint & send it to wallet: 0x197dc98C290ca4aF2268992c02B58864a6A1e0A6

One NFT sent = One entry/ticket for this contest.

5. Once you’ve sent an NFT to “claim” your entry ballot, visit the Peng Wins Twitter account https://twitter.com/wins_peng

6. Post your guess under the pinned msg: NFTBLOCKCOUNT. Please post here AFTER tx has passed, just to keep things easy-peasy.

7. DM or private guesses will not be counted. It doesn’t let others see what’s been guessed already, and I’m not trying to steal artwork or be shady. This is supposed to be fun. I will ask that you repost these guesses on Twitter to be fair https://twitter.com/wins_peng

8. PLEASE LOOK AT PREVIOUS ATTEMPTS BEFORE POSTING. I’m not hiding the fact that I intend to resell your art and fund a pretty sweet project. Returning NFTs (if your number had previously been selected), would be counterproductive to that goal and would likely make this the first and last #NFTBlockCount contest. I hope you understand. :)

9. In the event of a tie, timestamps will be taken from the successful tx, not their respective Tweet time.

10. No limit to the number of entries.

I think that’s it!

I am not asking for any “quality control” on the pieces you send. We all know the costs of minting and gas, so if you’re willing to part with it I’m truly appreciative. Thank you (in advance) for the generosity!!

The counted/correct number of building block pieces has already been officially recorded, along with the date (KYC style lol). This should snuff out “tamper” accusations I hope? I will post proof, once this event is closed.

I almost forgot to mention the PRIZES! hahaha

Whoever has the closest guess in this first #NFTBlockCount contest, will receive the ENS domain “ARTLOVER.ETH” (est. value 0.1 ETH ← yes, I made that up lol).

If anyone guesses the EXACT number of pieces, I will also include + 0.1 ETH to the prize lot. Roughly $120 at the time of writing!

Tx without a tweet will be hunted down to the best of my ability, but please, just don’t forget to tweet over your magic number? lol. Tweets without a tx do not qualify for the prizes. This edition contest closes at midnight (ET) Friday, January 22, 2021.
